2011 CoreTechs Race Team Schedule
Sign up for the following races at www.ncnca.org/road and get your license at http://www.usacycling.org/ (and list CoreTechs Cycling Team as your team!)
2011 Race Season (These races will have at least one CoreTechs Racer present. The "*" races are our key races. We will try to get as big a team out as possible for those. So if you can, make sure to make the stared races!)
March 12th CCCX Circut race in Monterey
March 19th (Sat) Central Coast Circuit Race: Monterey-Same as above
*March 27th Bariani Road Race: frontage road for 3 miles, flat farm roads for 5, a short hill with the KOM on top, and then an open, flat 2 miles to the finish. Do this several times, depending on category.
April 2nd (Sat): Copper Town Circuit Race: Great course on new roads. Rolling (small rollers-basically flat) 5.5 mile loop you do for an hour per race. We won this race (JP and Mark) in two seperate cats.
April 9th Turlock Lake Road Race. (this is new and just saw it up. Sounds fun)
April 23rd- Menlo Park Crit- So close...
May 15th (Sun) Modesto Road Race: Flat and fast.
May 28th Hammer Nutrition Crit (Dash for Cash) in Pleasanton
*June 4th and 5th (Sat/Sun): Top Sport Stage Race: Awesome stage race. Sat is the Copper Town Circuit race - see above- then a 10 mile ITT on rolling course. Sunday is a Road Race about 60 to 70 miles on rolling roads. No long climbs, but a few power climbs (think half of Corte Madera climb off of Portola Valley Road). Also a four mile section of "rough" roads. Almost dirt roads that will rattle your teeth a bit. It is a two or three loop course.
June 12th (Sun): Third Pillar Crit
June 19th (Sun): Central Coast Circuit Race: see above
June 25th (Sat): Spring Hill Road Race: Sometimes called the "Two Rock Road Race". This race is on great roads and has two climbs. Each climb is about like Sandhill going West (for those that have done Winters-Similiar to that hill-twice). It also starts on one of those hills, so warm up well!
June 26th (Sun): Burlingame Crit-great course, lots of fun.
July 23rd: Red Peloton Stage Race in Santa Rosa- No idea what this is, but sounds kind of fun, so we shall see
July 30th: CCCX
August 6th: Strawberry Crit in Watsonville:
**August 13th: Dunnigan Hills Road Race: If wind is up, great course. Little rollers, fairly flat
**August 27th: Winters Road Race: flat course except for one 1/2 mile climb in the middle of course. The climb is steep, but only 1/2 mile.
September 17/18: Folson Cyclebration Omnium-
October 1st: LEVI's GRAN FONDO- 22 team members already signed up for this! Should be an awesome ride and turnout.
